The official ribbon cutting of the Steel-High Aquaponic Greenhouse was on May 20, 2015. Aggreco, the makers of the Aquaponic Greenhouse, invited the King of Ghana, Togbe Afede XIV, to help celebrate the ribbon cutting. The Steel-High student aquaponics team represented themselves and their school at this event. We would like to give thanks to all that came out and supported this great opportunity for not only the school, but also for the students.
Today the students at Marshall Middle School in Harrisburg Pennsylvania helped prepare a meal that consisted of fresh tilapia and herbs that were harvested from their aquaponic farm, which was created in their science classroom. The culinary team from the Harvest Restaurant in Susquehanna Marketplace hosted the event to serve the newly appointed governor Tom Wolfe's transition team .
